On starting to write a poem
It begins with not knowing where to begin. That's the honest truth!
enjoy poetic license
And welcome to my Substack! This is the place to learn more about my typewriter poetry project and the ideas behind it. I’ll have more to say in the coming weeks, but right now, I’m just putting the paper in, adjusting the margins, figuring out the line space levers, and tightening the ribbon… setting things up.
In the meantime, maybe you could write a poem? I’m about to write one about what I see out my window, now that three quarters of the leaves have fallen from the branches and gone.
(I’m really glad you’re here, reading.)
(And if you’re getting this post by email, it’s because you let me write you a poem at one of my typewriter poetry days. So, thanks again for being part of it.)
